Missions Convention
Missions is the heartbeat of God and the theme for this year’s missions focus is "All Generations!" Our missions mandate comes from Psalm 89:1 S "With my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all genera-tions." Every generation must proclaim the message of the Gospel to its own generation and the ones that follow after us. We must take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every generation and to every nation as Jesus commanded us in the Great Commission.
Every generation needs to know the way to God and God’s Word clearly states: "I am the way, the truth and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me." (John 14:6) That is the good news of the Gospel
S that Jesus paid the price for our sins. Jesus Christ did His part when He died on the Cross for the sins of every generation. The rest of the story, however, involves every single one of us as Christians, finishing the Great Commission that He has given to His Church. The truth is that the task is still not completed S people need the Lord.The only way that we can complete the task is found in the answers to the following questions that we find in Romans 10:14-15:

"How then shall they call on Him to whom they have not believed?"S
"How shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?"S
"How shall they hear without a preacher?"S
"How shall they preach unless they are sent?"There is only one way to heaven and that is by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Whether around the world or across the street, there are still millions of people who are lost without Jesus Christ. There is no more important investment that we can make than in missions.
I am asking that each one of us, through our Missions Convention, make a personal commitment in each of the following ways:
1. Make a PRAYER COMMITMENT to pray for the lost around the world and across the street so that they will come to Christ. Pray for our missionary family around the world.
2. Make a FINANCIAL COMMITMENT to support our missionary family and missions programs around the world and here at home through your monthly FAITH PROMISE GIVING.
3. Make a MINISTRY COMMITMENT to be involved in local minis-try here at the church and in our community, and be willing to go on a short-term missions trip this coming year.
May every generation come to the Lord Jesus Christ.
